A sad week for the darting world this week, with the sad passing of the legendary Jocky Wilson. The Premier League night in Cardiff will honour the great man with a minute’s tribute before the action begins. Tonight sees Adrian Lewis in double duty tonight, as Gary Anderson is missing due to a family bereavement. So, not the happiest week in the PDC world, but I’m sure the action tonight will make up for it.
As mentioned above, Adrian Lewis is on double duty tonight, opening up against Andy Hamilton, before taking on Raymond van Barneveld in the final match of the night. In between, Simon Whitlock faces James Wade in what has the potential to be a fantastic match, and Phil Taylor will be looking to continue his Premier League dominance when he takes on Kevin Painter. The double duty makes the night different to most other nights in the PDC Premier League, but different isn’t always bad. For fans of Adrian Lewis, it’s a great thing! So, the action comes from Cardiff, which is not only a beautiful city, but there’s a rich darts history there and the crowd love their darts. I have no doubt that the crowd will act a special something to tonight’s action.
