A great week last week, only ruined by Terry Jenkins finding some amazing form from somewhere to demolish Mark Webster. We went 3-1 last week, taking us to 7-9 and a loss of 6.75 units for the Premier League Darts season. So thinks are certainly looking up now that the season is in full swing.
A great night of darts is guaranteed from Glasgow and no doubt the Scottish fans will be cheering on Gary Anderson and Raymond van Barneveld and Adrian Lewis might just face some of the worst heckling he’ll ever have faced.

So, without further ado, let’s get onto the Premier League Darts tips for Glasgow’s night of darting action.
Terry Jenkins versus James Wade.
I asked myself last week, “Has James Wade gone at the game,” after his humbling from Barney, where the former world No.2 averaged 90.95 and only had four darts at doubles in the entire match (2 of which he hit). It seems like his scoring isnn’t consistent enough to do damage to anyone at the moment.
Terry Jenkins? We’ll he left me speechless last week, averaging 98.18 and hitting his doubles well. It was a performance that appeared out of nowhere, especially if you’d have been his previous four performances. Add in the fact he went on to lose to Mark Webster on Saturday and it’s a baffling performance.
I can’t, in al honesty, split this two. I think we might just see the first draw of the Premier League campaign, as both men aren’t playing that well and although one man might just storm away with it, I really can’t see it.

Raymond van Barneveld versus Mark Webster.
Raymond van Barneveld, who made his first final in a floor tournament in almost two years on Sunday, is showing a bit of form, taking apart James Wade with relative ease and with an average of 96.49.
Mark Webster had a shocker last week, getting trounced by Terry Jenkins and averaging 90.91. That was in stark comparison to his 106 average the week before. Webster is blowing hot and cold and it could be dangerous against a resurgent Barney.
The bookies have Barney as a slight favourite here and that might be right, although I think it’s dangerous to discount Webster and at the price of 7/4, it’s just a bit too big to turn down, especially if the Barney of the first few weeks turns up and the Webster of two weeks ago appears. The price is just too big.

Phil Taylor versus Simon Whitlock.
Well, Phil Taylor proved he was back to the top of the darting tree with a closely contested victory of the Premier League pace-setter, Gary Anderson. His win was impressive, as was his 103.95 average. His finishing was impressive and he did what he needed to do to beat the dangerous Anderson.
Simon Whitlock, well, he did what we know he’s sometimes capable of and capitulated against Adrian Lewis. The 8-2 scoreline might have flattered the world champion, but Whitlock missed 10 darts at doubles and he won’t be able to do that against Taylor.
The long and short of it is, Whitlock will need to get doubling to have any chance of beating Taylor and I can’t see it happening. The other great news is Taylor is a slightly bigger price than I would have had him, so he’s definitely worth a bet here.

Gary Anderson versus Adrian Lewis.
The 2011 World Championship final rematch sees Gary Anderson playing in front of his home crowd, while Adrian Lewis will be facing a torrent of abuse.
Lewis took the Saturday UK Open qualifier, while Anderson made the semi-finals of the same tournament. So both men are in good form coming into this match. Lewis will be buoyed by his 8-2 win over Simon Whitlock and his 101.83 average. Oh, 73% finishing will have helped, too. For a player who can be dodgy on his doubles, Lewis looked effortless taking the finishes out.
Anderson’s 8-6 defeat to Phil Taylor was just a bit unlucky. He had Taylor on the ropes, but couldn’t put him away. He averaged 99.16 in defeat, hit 40% of doubles and can’t be too disheartened by his performance.
Although it might be close, I just can’t look past the crowd playing a huge part in this match. Lewis will never have had stick like this before and it might just affect him, being the temperamental player that he is. Anderson looks good value at odds-against here and we’ll definitely make that the choice.
