Thought I would mix it up a bit today and actually take a break from the EPL.
There are four Portugese Primeira Liga games taking place on Monday, February 8th.
They are at about the halfway point of their season. Sporting are looking good at the top right now although Porto aren’t too far behind and are chasing. At the bottom the relegation battle is wide freaking open with 5 points separating 9th through 18th. Mental.
If you’re looking for a fun league to follow over the next little while this will be a good one with how tight it is. Betting wise it can be great with so many meaningful games.
Let’s look at the 4 games taking place on Monday:
Portugese Primeira Liga Betting Tips:
Farense vs Moreirense:
Farsense are currently bottom while Moreirense are in 8th place. Farense come stumbling into this one while Moreirense got that 2-0 win over Famalicao to boost their confidence. Farense at least got that point against Santa Clara.
Despite that bookies think Farense will win. They have a 3-3-3 record at home. The way things are in Portugal its pretty much anyones game. Farense had the recent managerial change and will be hoping that point for Costa will help turn things around.
Alas the odds are tricky for this one. I’d love to do Draw or Moreirense but the odds just aren’t there.
I think Moreirense are the worth the risk here. They’ve established themselves in that top 8 and this should be a winnable game considering the price. 1u on Moreirense at 3.10 odds as much as I hate betting against Ryan Gauld.
Benfica vs Famalicao:
Benfica have been stumbling lately with 4 games without a win but gotta expect they batter Famalicao here. Not seeing any bets.
Maritimo vs Santa Clara:
Maritimo are slight favourites but come in struggling after 3 losses. Santa Clara come in on the back of some solid results.
Santa Clara are quite solid away actually with 1.22 goals on average scored. Maritimo should have Pinho back which is good.
I like goals in this one. 1u on Over 2.5 goals at 2.40 odds.
Belenenses vs Guimaraes:
Gumaraes come in on a great run and are unbeaten away this season. Belenenses can randomly cause issues for teams but I like what Guimaraes have been doing. I can’t see Belenenses winning. I feel good with 1u on Guimaraes to win at 2.30 odds.
