Welcome to the Sports Betting Tips for September 13th, 2014.
Yesterday, we provided tips for the English Premier League – there will be all 3 of those matches today. We have betting tips for Arsenal vs Man City, Sunderland vs Tottenham and Liverpool vs Aston Villa.
In Arsenal vs Man City, we have tipped Over 2.5 goals. In Sunderland vs Spurs, we have tipped Spurs to win. Finally with Liverpool vs Aston Villa, we have tipped to either play it safe and go with “Draw or Aston Villa”, or the much preferred risk of the game to be a draw at 5/1 odds.
We’re going to hit up 3 more betting tips today for the soccer. 2 of these games take place today, and one is for Man Utd vs QPR which takes place tomorrow. We’ll also be loading up with NFL betting tips tomorrow so stay tuned for that.
Let’s get to the betting tips for September 13th, 2014:
SPL Betting Tips: Celtic vs Aberdeen
It’s been quite the struggle so far for Celtic this season – a complete disaster in Europe, and some poor showings in the SPL with back to back draws against Dundee and Inverness Caley.
One place you can usually count on Celtic to win though is at home, and we have to expect them to do that here. However more importantly is the goals – Aberdeen are a tough team who can score, and we see this being a competitive match with a fair amount of goals.
These two teams have went Over 2.5 goals in their last 5 matches against each other. 1.8 odds is a solid price on that.
EPL Betting Tips: Southampton vs Newcastle
Losing so many players we would have expected Southampton to cave in this season and be an easy relegation team. That surprisingly is not the case.
They lost a hard fought game against Liverpool, drew with West Brom and beat West Ham. More importantly is how hard they press in games. Some teams can handle it, but I don’t think Newcastle can.
Newcastle are in a bit of turmoil at the moment with the fans not happy with them – and really, we think this pressing match-up is going to be brutal for them.
EPL Betting Tips: Man Utd vs QPR
The new look Man Utd debut their stars against QPR tomorrow. Van Gaal is still seeking his first win as Man Utd manager, after a 2-1 loss to Swansea, and draws against Sunderland and Burnley.
QPR are still sorting themselves out. They lost to Hull City at home 1-0, got hammered away to Spurs, then squeaked a 1-0 win out over Sunderland.
So it’s no surprise that Man Utd are heavy favourites at 2/7. The question though is this – should you buy into the hype?
It’s a tricky one. Team chemistry is a big, big factor. But when you have the quality of individualists that Man Utd now has it really shouldn’t be.
This is one where you have to make a smart bet. If you want to go just by the numbers so far this season, then QPR is the team to bet. 11/1 is a great price and much better than Draw or QPR at 11/4 which isn’t that hot a price. It’s better to take a long shot bet of 11/1 on QPR.
If you believe in the hype then you need to believe there’s going to be a lot of goals for Man Utd. That’s the area they strengthened. Therefore, you want to go with the Man Utd -1 at 8/11.
