It was an excellent betting day to kick start the UEFA Champions League group stages as we went 3-1 with the betting tips. The only loss was a small unit play.
The loss was Club Brugge vs Borussia Dortmund going over 2.5 goals. Only 0.5u play risked on that one and it didn’t pan out. There was 1 goal in the game and it came too late to open things up.
We won both our 1u plays. One was Inter Milan vs Tottenham Hotspur where we bet both teams to score. Inter came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 in injury time in that one. Good for Inter as that was a much needed win after their domestic form.
We also won our other 1u play with Galatasaray to beat Lokomotiv Moscow. They won 3-1 with ease.
I hoped it’d be game of the day and I have to say Liverpool vs PSG was. It was a fun one and we had a 2u play on that one to go over 3.5 goals. It did with Liverpool winning 3-2 right at the death after PSG clawed back. Great game that.
Let’s look onto Wednesdays action now:
Ajax vs AEK Athens Betting Tips:
I feel like Ajax are just a tad overpriced here.
AEK Athens are doing great in their domestic league with 7 goals in 3 games and none against. In saying that Ajax are doing solid in theirs with a 4-1-0 record and only one goal scored. 14 goals in 5 games is impressive too.
In qualifiers AEK fought hard and got by a very tricky Celtic team. Ajax did perform well at home against Standard Liege and that is a concern going in here but I think AEK know how to play tight.
Not going to go too crazy but going to go with AEK Athens or Draw at 3.00 odds for 0.5u.
Valencia vs Juventus Betting Tips:
Once he starts he doesn’t stop.
Thats the story of Cristiano Ronaldo. If he hadn’t started scoring for Juve I’d probably not even consider this one.
I rate Valencia for sure I mean who wouldnt but their start to the La Liga hasnt been lighting the world on fire and end of the day – faith in Ronaldo.
1u on Juventus to win at 1.85 odds.
Shaktar Donetsk vs TSG Hoffenheim Betting Tips:
Hoffenheim are a solid enough team but they struggle defensively a bit and lack of experience might be an issue here.
I’m curious how Hoffenheim go for it. They may look to attack which would be the best strategy and it could lead to an over however Shakhtar have an impressive defense and they are a team that perform well at home.
Until Hoffenheim prove they can hang on the big stage I’m good to go with 0.5u on Shakhtar to win at 1.95 odds.
