Welcome to the Sports Betting Tips for September 30th, 2015.
It’s Wednesday which as per usual means we do the weekly golf betting tips. We’re celebrating after a successful PGA Tour Championship. Not only did we have Jordan Spieth to win:
But we also had Justin Rose to place in the Top 4:
Both came in nice and easy and made us some good money. Let’s hope for more of that for this week with the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Betting Tips:
Ever play a casino game like roulette? That’s what betting on the Links feels like. Last years winner? He came in at 500/1. The year before? 125/1. The year before that? A much more settled 50/1. And then the year before that? 250/1.
Yeah.
So while we are both tipping and betting the Links we want to warn you to bet small amounts. Like we usually bet $100 on the golf but we’ll be doing just $25 and $50 bets for these. We’re not going into this expecting much.
We are backing 6 different golfers this week.
First up is the two Lees. That’s Westwood for a quarter unit and Slattery for a quarter unit as well, priced 33/1 and 80/1 respectively. Westwood has had some consistent form this season and we think he can continue that form into the Links. Slattery also seems to be heating up this month and we love a hot golfer – no LPGA jokes please – so we’ll be taking him here.
We’re also on Danny Willett and at 20/1 we’re doing a half unit bet. Everything about Willett suggests he can get a result here. He’s had a great season and won the European Masters. He’s played well here in previous years finishing in the top 5 a few times. Those are things that just can’t be ignored.
We’re also on Roope Kakko. We feel his driving distance, especially on the longer holes, could see him get an advantage going into this one.
We’re also on Victor Dubuisson. Man has he had a bad season. We were expecting big things from him this season too. But if he can get his game going he has the ability to hang around at the top of this one.
Finally Padraig Harrington. 100/1 and no real reason – but when we’re doing the simulations and looking at the data he just kept popping up so why not.
The last 3 bets are all quarter unit bets.
UEFA Champions League Betting Tips:
Europe just doesn’t seem fitting for Manchester City, and we’re going to take the 16/5 Borussia Monchengladbach to get the win.
Juventus are a solid 17/20 price against Sevilla. Juventus have struggled a bit in Serie A this season but they usually bring it when it comes to Europe and being at home – we like them to get the victory.
We’re also going to take Man Utd to win as our final bet in the Champions League. At home and coming off some solid results we think they have it made. We watched Wolfsburg vs Hannover on the weekend and weren’t impressed. Wolfsburg look like they are still in recovery mode after the Bayern thumping.
