An 0-1 day on Monday.
I was hoping for goals alas we didn’t get any with Spurs winning 1-0 and that was due to an own goal. xG stats for the game were very poor at 0.51 to 0.40 for Spurs so overall that was just a very bad bet on my part. I’d mentioned I was concerned with both teams xG stats too so that is one I will have to go back and look at and see why I made that mistake.
The other bet was a push with Levante DNB. I preferred Levante or Draw there but the odds were too short. The draw came in.
Today I’m going to run through all of the Serie A games taking place on Wednesday. There’s a bunch of them.
While I’m not officially betting the MLS Is Back tournament here yet, I don’t hate Orlando City or Draw and I love Chicago Fire to Win what with Nashville being hit with COVID.
Let’s get right into Serie A:
Serie A Bets: July 7, 2020
Fiorentina vs Cagliari: Fiorentina are 1.95 favourites here. Cagliari come into this one after a loss against Atalanta while Fiorentina got a win over Parma and you have to wonder if they can build on that. Fiorentina look good to avoid the drop while Cagliari don’t really have much to play for. Honestly I’m a bit surprised at the odds. Cagliari have looked great post pandemic and they had 10 men against Atalanta yet still did well. Losing Carboni certainly hurts but I’m good with 3u on Cagliari or Draw at 1.80 odds. If that win for Fiorentina gives them a boost then so be it.
Genoa vs Napoli: Genoa actually have been not too bad since the restart. That loss to Parma was a bad one but I mean they have still been scoring the goals. I loved their comeback against Udinese. Genoa have Schone back too so I’d be surprised if they don’t get on the scoresheet here. I’m tempted with Both Teams To Score but I guess Napoli could always put up the goals so I’m going to do 2u on Over 2.5 Goals at 1.80 instead. Same odds and 1-1 is the only result that’d piss me off.
Roma vs Parma: Both teams come into this big match in brutal form having lost 3 matches in a row. Despite that Roma are heavy favourites. Can’t back anything here with the poor form both teams are displaying.
Atalanta vs Sampdoria: Atalanta continue to be awesome. Sampdoria have put up 2 wins in a row over SPAL and Lecce. Those 6 points will likely save them from the drop. However they are two relegation rivals. I’m good for a small bet on the handicap as Atalanta just seem to be a machine. 0.5u on Atalanta -1 at 1.83 odds meaning they gotta win by two.
Bologna vs Sassuolo: Two teams performing well at the moment and scoring the goals too. The goal lines are quite low though. Interestingly Bologna have a low xG. I’ll do a small bet of 1u on Over 2.5 Goals and BTTS at 1.80.
Torino vs Brescia: Torino continue to struggle although it’s generally against better teams. Brescia just got that nice 2-0 win over Verona to a surprise. I feel like Brescia can get something from this game but I am not confident enough to back anything.
