Disappointment at The Memorial. Schauffele, Sungjae and Lowry all played well. Made the cut, finished 18th, 10th and then 32nd (after a +4 final round). Just needed one of them to make a big run.
In saying that no-one was taking that one away from Billy Boy.
I hope to cover the Liv Golf tournaments at some point. That whole thing is amazing – what a week in golf. I wan’t go on about it here. Either way I’m going to say chuck 1/4u on Phil Mickelson E/W at 28/1.
Up until this past week, he was their primary star. You know he is going to be super motivated for this one, and with Phil these days I find motivation is what it’s all about. I have absolutely nothing to back that other than motivation but hey it is what it is.
This week is the RBC Canadian Open. It’s at St George’s which last hosted it in 2010. It also had a lot of changes made in 2014 due to a big storm that hit it.
What that means is that 12 year old data – yeah, probably not too helpful. And actually after looking into it – I’ve decided to stay away. It just feels like too much guess work. Plus you have the US Open Sectional Qualifying going on which can mess some things up.
DP World Tour is that mixed tournament which is too hard to back.
Couple of plays on the Shoprite LPGA Classic for 1/4u bets. I haven’t did much with the LPGA over the past couple of years. Combination of covid, new courses etc. I used to make a lot of bank on it so I’d like to get back into it and this week seems as good a time as any.

16/1 for my favourite Canadian female golfer, and one of the reasons I still follow the LPGA. She was born practically where I live right now, so by default I am a big fan of her. A bad run recently with the withdrawal followed by two cuts. The month break seemed to do her well and I thought she performed good at the Women’s Open. A course she is well familiar with and plays well at.

Like many golfers she won a tournament then stumbled a little bit. But she should feel good here in a course she has played exceptionally well at over the years and I think she can reclaim that championship winning form.

I’m a bit concerned after that double bogey on Saturday, how her mindset will be. She did recover from that of course for a solid finish but man still a concern. She has the experience though to overcome something like that, and of course has dominated this course. Worth the bet at this price.
