Hi guys,
Only the lone tip last week, as we returned to backing Mito Pereira after his 66/1 cash at the Fortinet Championship for us.
He made the cut and had a great final day but finished tied for 31 overall.
One sigh of relief was I had 4 other possibilities that I listed, but I decided not to go with any of them. Thankfully none would have cashed so that felt good.
Let’s look at this week’s golf:
Shriners Children’s Open Betting Tips
$200 on Abraham Ancer at 22/1 E/W
When I do my initial run of the system and play around with it, I deliberately don’t look at or factor in the betting odds. That’s a later part of it where I look for value. So it is always a pleasant surprise when my simulations bring up the actual favourite of the tournament, which is Abraham Ancer.
A healthy price. Last we saw him he was on firm. He’s hot and cold on this course with missed cuts and then a couple of 4th places. My only concern is we haven’t seen him play since the Tour Championship. May be a tad rusty. Otherwise I would be betting more.
$62.50 on Matthew Wolff at 40/1 E/W
A razor thin pick for value. Plays well on this course, and liked what I saw from him last weekend. Looks like he could be coming in hot.
$62.50 on Mito Pereira at 55/1 E/W
Just have to. He’s still dominating all the key stats.
$30 on Lucas Glover 125/1 E/W
Just one of those picks where I had it down purely due to previous course form here. I tried to shake myself off it – he doesn’t show up in the Top 30 for me no matter how much I play about with the system – but couldn’t.
Espana De Open Betting Tips
Have to be cheering on Rahm for a hat trick don’t we? Not betting him though!
$50 on Masahiro Kawamura at 50/1 E/W
Solid incoming form if we discount Links and performed well last year here.
That’s it for me. I am strangely tempted by James Morrison at 150/1 and Mikko Korhonen at 60/1 and going to chuck $30 on them. Your call if you want to – I’m fine betting for long value.
