Another winning week last week with the soccer bets.
Went 2-1. Loss was Spurs/Man Utd over 3.5 goals. I wrote about that one in detail and why I was picking it and I wasn’t too happy with it. As it is, the game had the chances and probably should have went over 3.5 if Man U could just finish. They had an xG of 2.5 in that game.
Won with Man City to beat Newcastle. Not too much of a sweat that one. And also won with Notts Forest over Sheff Utd. THAT one was a sweat, with Chris Wood finally snagging the winning goal in the 89th minute.
Let’s look at this weekends action. It’s Chelsea vs Luton tonight and you’d think Chelsea would batter them as Brighton ripped them apart. But Brighton are looking damn lethal at the moment so it’s hard to judge the Luton defense based on that.
Bournemouth vs Tottenham – Over 3.5 Goals @ 2.30 Odds
Angeball!
We saw it in Week 1. We pretty much saw it in Week 2 with Spurs able to score, and Man Utd getting the chances but unable to finish with some serious bad luck.
I won’t be doing this bet every week, and the bookies are clearly aware with how low Over 2.5 goals is. But I’m happy to back it partially blindly one more time here and see how it plays out. It helps that Bournemouth have been able to get a fair amount of chances in their games, and get on the scoresheet. Feel they can again, and I like the over here.
Brentford over 1.5 Goals @ 2.25
They are playing Crystal Palace. My initial thought was Brentford to win at 2.15 but have decided to go with this one instead.
Palace I think will play a more open game like we saw against Sheffield Utd. Brentford are showing they aren’t missing Toney with some solid performances up front at the moment. These two have been draw specialists in the past.
Like what I have seen from Brentford so far this season and hoping their goalscoring can continue.
Really want to back something goals wise in Newcastle vs Liverpool but the odds are brutal for that so I’ll pass. One of those where you look at it from a bunch of angles but nothing jumps out.

Dundee Utd to beat Ayr @ 2.25
Both teams missing key midfielders so I see this being a more open game and not played in midfield as much, which should hopefully benefit Utd. Don’t think Ayr can do a good a job as Dunfermline at stifling Utd.
