Hi guys,
Quick note that I’ll cover the NFL this weekend – probably on Friday and Saturday. I’ll also get back to soccer betting tips this weekend as well I believe.
I didn’t get much feedback about the NHL Advanced Metrics analysis I was doing, so I’ve stopped doing those for now. However I may have some exclusive Patreon NHL stuff in hte future. Just gathering data and running some tests right now on something. Hopefully it works out and I can get that going in February.
Also apologies for the lateness on these – first full week back at work and its been bananas.
Nothing last week at the Tournament of Champions but anything would have been a bonus there, as it’s a tough one.
Really I consider it a win just not being on Morikawa to win. My god that was a crushing one for the poor guy as Rahm steamrolled at the end.
Finau ended up tied for 7th so that was a kind of “win” in that I didn’t back him E/W so would have been frustrated if he made top 5.
This week we’ve got the Sony Open in Hawaii on the PGA Tour. Wind can be quite a factor here although I believe there won’t be much this week. Also players who participated in the Tournament of Champions are more likely to win here. But I mean those are like the best golfers in the world ha so not like that’s anything too groundbreaking.
Sony Open in Hawaii Betting Tips:
Units are $125. E/W is top 5.
$42 / 1/3u on Tom Kim to win at 10/1
Not a great price on Kim at all, but when I look at the metrics it’s still hard to turn him down here for a bet. I’d be surprised if he isn’t in the top 10 at least, and he has a very good chance of winning it.
$125 / 1u on Russell Henley To Win & E/W @ 20/1
Played last week. Stands out strong in the metrics. This is a course that he has won at in the past, and last year was 2nd. His driving accuracy last week was excellent which is a big factor here, and GIR as well.
Those are my two main bets so let’s throw in two more at 1/3u for a total of 2u.
$42 / 1/3u on Brian Harman to win & E/W @ 25/1
Coming in off the back of solid form and a guy that theoretically should suit this course well. He’s not dominated this course in the past really other than the 4th place in 2018. But he checks a lot of boxes here and just looks like he is ready to pick up some Ws.
$42 / 1/3u on Corey Conners to win & E/W @ 22/1
He’s playing very well. This is one where he scratched the top 10 off most of the simulations I run, but when I crank shots gained on approach all the way up, he bounced right into the top 5. He plays well at this course as well. Good form and course form is always nice.
