Time to cover the UEFA Champions League action taking place on October 23rd, 2019.
First of all just a reminder that I wrote up tips for the Champions League games on October 22nd.
In that post I ran through each game and made a bet.
I’ll do the same for the games taking place on Wednesday.

UEFA Champions League Tips:
Ajax vs Chelsea: A great start for Ajax in the Champions League with two 3-0 wins. Now they host Chelsea who are still finding their way. Lampard has his men rolling quite a bit lately though. Honestly I feel we are getting too good a price on Ajax to ignore. Yeah Chelsea are playing better and also logged a Champions League win but Ajax look like the real deal. Chelsea look a few months away from being there. 2u on Ajax to win. 2.37 odds.
RB Leipzig vs Zenit St Petersburg: Leipzig got off to a great start with a win over Benfica, who Zenit also beat. Leipzig crashed to Lyon though. They’re not exactly killing it in the Bundesliga at the moment with 3 games without a win. They’re still a solid team though and I think these two cancel each other out. 1u on the draw at 4.33 odds.
Benfica vs Lyon: Benfica will be hoping to get their Champions League back on track with this game against Lyon. Lyon are performing in Europe but are a disaster domestically at the moment. Interestingly the xPTS system believes Lyon have mostly been unlucky and if they could finish, should be in the Top 5. I think this game is ripe for an upset but not sure if Lyon can win it or not. We’ll do 0.25u on the draw at 3.70 odds. Lyon will be hoping Memphis Depay is back for this one and that’s a big factor that is making it be a small play.
FC Salzburg vs Napoli: Salzburg are the goalscoring team of the Champions League. Now they go up against Napoli who are yet to concede a goal. BTTS is just 1.36 which is amusing. Honestly on paper this should be a hell of a match and a real contest. I hope it turns out that way. 0.5u on Over 3.5 Goals at 2.00 odds.
Genk vs Liverpool: No surprise Liverpool are huge favourites here even though Genk got that 0-0 draw with Napoli. Bookies expect a high scoring game but I’ve seen some clinical Liverpool defensive performances before. They can bring it out when they need it. 0.5u on Under 2.5 Goals at 2.75 odds.
Inter Milan vs Borussia Dortmund: Not the best start for Inter in the Champions League. They had that hard fought game on the weekend and will look to get back on track here. Romelu Lukaku continues to kill it and I think I’ve got to go with Inter here. I know what they are capable of. 2u on Inter to win. 2.25 odds.
Lille vs Valencia: Lille are a bit of a struggling team at the moment. This is a very tight game. Valencia making the managerial change seemed to have helped them and Albert Celades has them playing well. I think Valencia will be happy with a point here. 0.5u on the draw at 3.30 odds.
Slavia Prague vs Barcelona: No bet for me in this one. Looked at everything and nothing jumping out.
