After a rather lacklusture UFC last weekend and a disappointing one with the betting tips, we look ahead to UFC 248 now which takes place this Saturday night.
This is a much better card with the main event of Israel Adesanya versus Yoel Romero.
The whole card is pretty decent with some solid potential for some banger fights in there.
Let’s get straight onto the betting tips:
UFC 248 Betting Tips:
For the main event itself I won’t bet it. I wanted to convince myself to back Yoel as I mean he does have that one punch power but Adesayna just looks to be in a different league. He is just too damn good. Romero still has the accurate punches though so anything could happen. If you want a casual bet there go with Romero but I wouldn’t advise it.
1u on Joanna Jedrzyejcyk to win at +150 odds. JJ 100% deserves to be the underdog here against the 20-1-0 Zhang Weili. Zhang is an absolute monster. However JJ knows what it’s like going up against someone that fights that way like in the first fight against Rose. She has learned from that. It’s also very tough to get inside against JJ. We saw Andrade struggle to do that. Zhang has a decent disadvantage in reach, and I think JJ has the experience and ability to take this one.
Sean O’Malley and Jamall Emmers double. 1u at +105. I like the way Jamall Emmers bounced back from his loss to Julian Erosa. He looks solid.Giga Chikadze meanwhile hasn’t looked too great after that performance against Brandon Davis. Emmers should be able to dominate this one on the ground. I like Chikadze but he’s just not a rounded fighter yet and I think will be outclassed here.
O’Malley is awesome. Bit concerning seeing how long it has taken to see him fight again of course. Always is. But this does seem like a good fight for him and one of those that UFC set up feeling he should take this one. Qunonez just hasn’t fought anyone of O’Malleys calibre. The dude is a solid striker with some real power and he should be able to hold off takedowns. If you want to bet O’Malley by himself, bets like O’Malley to win by KO or win by Ko in the first round probably are well worth it honestly. Got to think he dominates this one.
If you want, you can add Mark Madsen in there. It’s a bit risky but I am going to do a treble with the two above and Mark Madsen in there as well as my final bet. 1u on that treble at +200 odds.
I’m traveling at the moment and haven’t had the time to go back and rewatch a lot of the fights featuring people on the undercard like I’d want to so even though there are some close odds ones there, I haven’t had the chance to really study their fighting as much as I’d like to.
Madsen is an awesome wrestler. He can win via any way it seems. He absolutely mauled Danilo Belluardo. Now the one concern here is Hubbard is a tough fighter who won’t give up and has the resilence. However I think Madsen will take this one.
