Man what a glorious day it is – sitting around studying UFC data in preparation for writing up my UFC Betting Tips this weekend.
This comes a day after I got together with Vin to go over WWE Money in the Bank Tips on our wrestling betting tips podcast that we do.
Whatever views you have on sports being back in action and so on – and I’ll admit I am a bit conflicted – I’m still going to bloody embrace it and enjoy the hell out of it. I’m not the one making the decisions so if they want to be responsible for it all then go for it.
So UFC 249 is a go and is taking place in Jacksonville, Florida. An epic bloody card too with Tony Ferguson vs Justin Gaethje as the main event, and Henry Cejudo defending his Bantamweight Championship against Dominick Cruz.
Man I am super pumped. On the undercard we have Donald Cerrone vs Anthony Pettis and Fabricio Werdum versus Aleksei Oleinik.
Let’s get right down to it shall we?
UFC 249 Betting Tips:
Jacare to Win. That is of course Ronaldo Souza who is at about -120 odds. These are the type of conditions that I think will mess Uriah Hall up. On top of that even though Jacare had a rough last two losses, the guy is still a beast and the loss against Jan was a tight one. Jacare actually did a great enough job on him. I think Jacare takes this and am going with 3u on him to win at -130 odds.
Tony Ferguson Wins Inside Distance. -105 odds for this and I dig it. Gaethje is an awesome fighter of course but Tony is just on another level and he has been in beast mode lately. Gaethje comes into this one on the back of three KO victories and he isn’t the type that will drag this to a decision either. The first couple of rounds might be tough for Tony but he will take over and he will be chomping at the bit to get this one. 2u at -105 odds.
Michelle Waterson to win. Waterson is +140 odds for this one. Esparza bouncd back strong after that mauling by Suarez but Waterson will come in here doing better after learning a lot from that loss to JJ. She’s not at that top level but I think she has the ability to take down Esparza here. She’s very tricky on the ground and is the better striker. 1u on Waterson at +140 odds.
Anthony Pettis to win. Pettis vs Cerrone will be an interesting one. Cerrone is someone you can never count out of course. Pettis is coming in on a rough one having lost to Nate Diaz in dominant fashion, then Diego Ferreira. However I just think as we’ve seen before with these two – Pettis is the type of fighter that Cerrone will struggle against. He always struggles against high level strikers and Pettis seems the more motivated fighter at the moment while Cerrone is all about the paycheck. I’m doing 1u on Pettis at -135 to win.
