Tomorrow beginning at 11am EST we have UFC Fight Night 163, hailing from the CSKA Arena in Russia.
November is a bit of a quiet month for UFC. We’ve got Fight Night 164 next week then nothing until December when we see UFC on ESPN 7.
The main event of this card sees Zabit Magomedsharipov versus Calvin Katter. It’s one of those cards that would normally only appeal to the more hardcore fans, however Greg Hardy getting added to the card to go against Alexander Volkov has spiced things up a bit hasn’t it?
I know I’ve went from “just watching because it’s UFC” to “can’t wait to see what that idiot does next”.
UFC isn’t the only MMA card taking place this weekend. I’m looking forward to the KSW event taking place. That can be good for betting if you do your research. See this article on Where To Bet KSW for more details. There’s Combate 49 and Bellator 233 as well.
Fun weekend!
Let’s look at UFC now.
UFC Fight Night 163 Betting Tips:
Jessica-Rose Clark to win. Clark has looked good so far in UFC. She got beate by Jessica Eye however that was a tough one and prior to that, she was able to beat Bec Rawlings and VanZant. We haven’t seen her in awhile due to weight cut issues then an injury so we’re getting value as the bookies don’t know what to expect.
Clark is an excellent fighter in my opinion even though she is 9-5. She’s better than that record. Pannie Kianzad actually won a fight between these two a couple of years ago. However I think Rose-Clark is the better fighter and takes this.
Rocco Martin to win. One of those fights that I feel is almost a coinflip so happy to get the underdog here. It’s a tight fight between the two however I think the ground game will be the deciding factor and Martin is the better fight there. Rocco Martin is one of those guys that don’t get a lot of bookies respect so I’m happy to take him here.
Calvin Kattar to win. I do believe Zabit wins, but I think there is value here when you look at some of the issues with Zabit over the last few years. He has had hand issues going back a awhile now. I don’t think we will see much standup from him and it’s going to be a more ground battle. Basically I do think there is value here.
Greg Hardy to win. Look I am probably going to be regretting this one tomorrow but I got on him at +230 and I am happy with that. In any fight where one shot can finish it, I’ll gladly take those odds. Hardy has something to prove. Just look at how angry he has been over fighting “cans”. This one he is motivated and ready to step up.
Volkov man – yeah he should destroy Hardy but that dude takes lots of big shots. If Hardy connects with one that could be trouble. Volkov also will remember that Lewis fight and it may affect his mental game.
Volkov probably destroys him but hey I’m game for it.
