All eyes are on UFC 202 in a couple of weeks, but there’s a potentially great card coming up on Saturday, August 6th 2016 with UFC Fight Night: Rodrigues vs Caceres, or UFC Fight Night 92.

Taking place in Utah for the first time, UFC always look to get a good show going in a new city. While the names won’t be getting any casuals going bananas or anything, this has the potential to be a pretty damn solid card.

The main event is Alex Caceres taking on Yair Rodriguez. Rodriguez comes into it at 8-1 and the Mexican is a heavy favourite. He is undefeated in UFC and is coming off that huge win over Andre Fili via flying head kick.

I’m recommending we take the underdog Alex Caceres to win. I like Caceres. He’s a journeyman and a fighter and has a dangerous submission game. He’s fought a wide variety of opponents with different styles such as the likes of Cole Miller and Urijah Faber. He’s also 2-0 in his return to featherweight and he’s got a great ability to control fights. While I agree Rodriguez should be the winner I lik ethe odds on Caceres too much here.

Next up is Dennis Bermudez vs Rony Bezerra. Should be an interesting one for sure. I really want to see Bermundez win and I think he does so here. The odds don’t justify a bet but you may want to make it via decision for better odds.

I think there’s some nice value on Chris Camozzi to beat Thales Leites. Leites is going to struggle with Camozzi who has never been KO’d. Leites is coming into this on the back of two decision losses and hasn’t been too impressive. Leites seems like he is reinventing how he fights but that just resulted in a very poor effort against Mousasi. Camozzi is a very smart fighter who also has the KO power. Leites is going to have problems with takedowns as well. This just seems like one where wherever the fight goes Camozzi is going to have a very good chance of dominating it.

The odds are close with Zak Cummings a slight underdog in his fight with Santiago Ponzinibbio. Santiago is coming into this on the back of two TKO finishes early on in the fight. Cumming is an interesting one who can be dangerous in a variety of ways and his submission game is amazing. This is one fight I am really looking forward to with Santiago applying the pressure and Cummings relying on his counter punching plus his submission ability. Santiago can be fun to watch but I’d never like to have money on him. I think Cummings has enough weapons in his arsenal to take this one, and I’ll be backing Cummings.

There are two other fights on the main card. In Trevor Smith vs Joe Gigliotti, the favourite is Gigliotti and I like him to do it in the first round. I’d take him to win in the first round as I think he steamrolls all over Smith. And finally in the Moroz vs Taylor fight I’d go for Moroz but the odds don’t justify it so I’d stay away or bet by decision.
