UFC Fight Night 147 takes place on March 16th, 2019 from the O2 Arena in London.
It’s headlined by Darren Till vs Jorge Masvidal.
Lot of other solid fights in the card with Gunnar Nelson vs Leon Edwards also taking place.
Lot of guys who aren’t really big names to the casuals fighting. I always find that’s better from a betting perspective. Allows me to spend some time really diving into some of the fighters.
Let’s get to the betting tips:
UFC Fight Night 147 Bets:
First up I am going with the 11-1 Tom Breese to win. The guy just looks like a killer and that “1” in 11 and 1 was a tough split decision loss. He moved to 185lbs and looked great against Dan Kelly.
Heinisch is a late replacement and while the guy is good, I think Breese has what it takes here. Heinish gets emotional and comes in with a flurry and I think Breese will take advantage of that. Unless Breese gets sloppy, this is his fight.
I gotta go with Nad Narimani over Mike Grundy. Grundy hasn’t fought since November. He does have exellent wrestling but I feel Narimani is the smarter fighter here. He’s been looking great lately and is more versatile. He has the advantage on stand up and on the ground I think he’s more than a match.
Joseph Duffy is a horrible match-up for Marc Diakiese and should take this one fairly easily. The only issue is a fluke punch and I can’t see that happening. Of course the bookies can’t either with -175 odds so parlay him up with someone like Darren Till.
I’m going to go with the underdog Sabarbeg Safarov. Neugmereanu is coming in on short notice and while has a 9-0 record when you look at the guys he has fought, it’s not that impressive. Safarov is struggling in the UFC currently but I think he knows this is a do or die type of fight and will do the business here.
Looking ahead to the main card where the odds can be a bit trickier, I like Dominick Reyes. Sadly he is -235 but the guy is the future of the division and I think finishes this one cleanly. Maybe back him by submission. Oezdimir will tire out and that’s where Reyes can take it.
Another favourite is Nathaniel Wood and with good reason. I love this guy and he looks like a beast. In saying that, I thought Wood made some mistakes in his fight against Johnny Eduardo. I think it’s worth a small bet on Quinonez to upset the apple cart here. This could be a fast and furious fight.
Finally an underdog pick of Danny Roberts. I think if this one stays on the feet it’s going to be tough for Silva. Look at his last fight against Taleb – he looked like he had never been on the feet before. Roberts also has some slick BJJ and while Silva is obviously much better in that regard – if he gets the takedown Roberts might be able to hold him off.
