Well with not much football taking place on January 29th, I’ll turn my attention to the Bundesliga II.

It’s not a league I am overly familiar with but that’s okay – I always enjoy focusing on a league like this. Taking the time to read up on what’s been happening in it, and going through the stats then making some stats based picks.

Top 2 get promoted to the Bundesliga. Third place is in a playoff. Then it’s the opposite down below in terms of relegation with bottom two going down, third place in a playoff.

Very tight at the top at the moment with 4 points separating the top 4 teams. Erzgebirge are knocking on the door in 5th place and of course there’s a few teams just below who with the right run of form could come crashing through.

Interestingly the top teams are kind of struggling in form at the moment. Heidenheim are one of those teams who are crashing through the door with the best run of form in the last 8 to move into 4th place.

The Christmas break has just ended for these teams so it can make it a wee bit tricky and have to factor that in.

VFL Osnabruck vs Sandhausen Betting Tips:

Two of the on form teams at the moment.

Osnabruck are currently in 6th place with Sandhausen 9th. They have went marching up the table. Osnabruck just had a LONG unbeaten streak snapped away to the maurauding Heidenheim. However they were performing well before that and come in here on the back of a 3 game winning run at home.

Sandhausen have not list in 8 games yet one crazy stat is despite the 4th best defensive record in the league, they have conceded a goal in their last 7 games. The majority of their results are draws in this unbeaten streak.

I think this will be a very close game and the type of game where 1 goal could descide it. Bookies think there is a good chance at a draw but I have a feeing Osnabruck can sneak it 1-0.

Both teams might be a bit rusty but I think they both have tight defences and this will be a close and quiet one.

And actually looking at the other games, I’ve decided to hold off. The break has just thrown me off a bit. A team like Heidenheim for example have been on a great run but the break may have interfered with that. Just so many little things like that throwing me off. So we’ll stick with just the one.
