Well I had no tips in the PGA last week. At the Trophee Hassan II I said if you’re begging for action, Julian Suri represented value.
I hope some of you followed that as he almost won the tournament, coming in tied for 2nd for an E/W cash.
That was good to see. 2 casual tips (Suri and Tiger) and a serious tip (Kuchar) all coming in over the last three weeks. Nice to get those casual ones as I’ve had a few tough tournaments this year where a player looks like easy money and then messes it up in the last round.
Here’s the betting slip for Suri and if you didn’t follow it no biggie as it wasn’t anything massive anyway:
Let’s get stuck into this weeks tips:
Wells Fargo Championship 2019 Betting Tips:
Redesign of Quail Hollow will make things interesting. Lot of big players skipping it too. I’m not feeling too good in regard to knowledge of the course and how the changes will impact it so just a couple small bets this week and a more casual approach.
Rory McIlroy to win – 7/1:. Not a good showing at Augusta. He just never got rolling in a tournament he was expected to top. With quite a few key players missing here this week, I could see pride being a big factor in Rory. He has had a couple of weeks to dwell on the Masters, and could bounce back strong. 1/8u to win.
Phil Mickelson to win & E/W – 28/1. Phil has had a lot of great performances at Quail Hollow. His game has been getting better and it just seems ripe for a vintage Phil performance. I’m good with 1/4u to win & E/W here. I always love cheering on Phil. He’s also able to adapt well.
And that’s really it for this week. There was a couple of potential long shots like Nick Watney but I just don’t feel “on the ball” with this course this week so best not risk anything else.
