Well after a great weekend last weekend and a great few days, we unfortunately were brought back down to earth with a very poor weekend.
Some bad luck, some picks I’m raging at myself over and then some that just didn’t work out or were the completely wrong call.
Let’s quickly break down how we did.
the English Premiership was full of bad luck. We had Arsenal to win and they really should have. Fleck equalized for Sheff Utd with 7 minutes left. I feel Artetas frustrations there. We had Southampton to beat Wolves and they amazingbly blew a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2. Amazing.
0-2 in the English Championship. Had over 2.5 goals in Derby vs Hull. I went into that one wanting to back Derby however Hull have been very solid and I thought they’d contribute to the scoresheet. They didn’t and only got 1 shot on goal. We also had Over 2.5 in Huddersfield vs Brentford and that ended goalless. Brutal.
The Bundesliga was one of frustrations. I went into the Cologne vs Wolfsburg game wanting to back Cologne. I also got swayed by BTTS however the odds put me off. I ended up backing the draw and instead both teams scored as Cologne won 3-1. Sigh. We had Hoffenheim to beat Eintracht and that didn’t come in either as Hoffeenheim lost 2-1 surprisingly. Hoffenheim dominated that game.
On Sunday things were looking good briefly. Leicester were winning and Bologna were winning. Alas Leicester ended up surprisingly losing 2-1 to Burnley, and Bologna had a man sent off that changed the game there and they drew.
We won with Roma over Genoa. Thank you Roma for stopping it being a granny of a weekend.
Anyway it happens. Really my biggest regret was those Bundesliga tips. I think I knew I wasn’t feeling confident in them yet went with them anyway.
I’ll focus on just the one game today which is West Brom vs Stoke in the English Championship.
West Brom vs Stoke Betting Tips:
West Brom go into this one as 1.83 favourites. The draw is 3.50 and Stoke are 4.33.
West Brom are currently top of the English Championship table however they are on a bad run of form. They now go into this one having not won in 5 games. Thankfully for them 4 of those were draws but still – yikes. Stoke are 21st in the league however haven’t been too shabby lately.
Leeds messed up at QPR and so this is a good spot for West Brom to get going again and gain some space at the top. Stoke have been playing well under Michael O’Neill.
Stoke have been interesting lately with the way they are playing putting Sam Clucas in a deeper role.
West Brom have had a good few amount of injuries lately which has affected them and is a reason for their poor results.
This will be a competitive game. My instincts say that WBA are able to turn it around.
