Bit of a disappointment with the Women’s World Cup tips on Monday the 17th unfortunately, as quite a few teams didn’t show up to play.
I went with BTTS in China vs Spain. That didn’t come in but I had the draw in that one at 3.30 odds as well so that came in in a 0-0 game.
I went with BTTS in South Africa vs Germany. Germany however cast their defensive woes to the side and although South Africa got a few shots in, it was a generally dominant performance from Germany. I was pretty disappointed with South Africa in that one as I thought we’d see the feisty side that went up against Spain but no dice.
France vs Nigeria I had BTTS and much like South Africa – was left disappointed. Nigeria just didn’t look up for the game at all.
What a disappointing performance from Norway. Had Norway -1 there and they scraped through 2-1 thanks to two penalties. South Korea were a motivated team and that was the performance I wanted to see from Nigeria or South Africa.
Just one of those days.
We turn our attention to Wednesday, June 19th where we have two games on the board and both are in Group D.
Japan take on England and Scotland take on Argentina.
England are top of the group with two wins and have qualified for the next round. Japan are on 4 points. Scotland can still go through in the third place standings with a win. Argentina can as well. So it actually makes it quite interesting there as Argentina may actually push for a win and we’ll see how that goes.
Japan vs England Betting Tips:
Odds are pretty good on this once with England at 2.00 to win. They’ve not really been convincing, plus with a point helping both teams out you have to wonder if they’ll just play for that.
Japan looked more solid against Scotland. They struggled to beat down the Argentian defense but had no issues with Scotland.
This is one of those games where if it was in the knockout stages it could be a real cracker. At this stage in the group stages – eh, not so much.
One thing I noticed about the England game – they are really good at capitalizing on a teams mistakes or disorganization and that’s how they scored against Argentina.

Scotland vs Argentina Betting Tips:
This will be an interesting one as Argentina have parked the bus in both games so far. They can’t do that against Scotland.
Scotland have been a weird team where they don’t do anything in the first half and go down, then can’t turn it around in the second half.
Scotland are heavy favourites for this one at 1.57.
It’s an interesting one as I’m really curious to see how Argentina line up. You’d think they can’t park the bus here but football is a funny game. Their defense has been excellent for them and they actually could make it through on the back of two draws.
