A nice little win in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday with our betting tip on Portugal vs Switzerland to go over 2.5 goals.
What an incredible performance by Cristiano Ronaldo.
As I’ve said I’ll be turning my attention to the Women’s World Cup for the next little while. Very excited for it to kick off tomorrow and if you missed it, here’s my France vs South Korea Betting Tips for Fridays game.
I’ll be doing tips two days in advance for each game day so today we’ll be tackling Saturdays games. Let’s get to it:
Germany vs China PR Betting Tips:
Germany are the heavier favourites in this one at 1.28 odds. While I don’t know too much about the Women’s World Cup, from my early look at everything and studying the teams and the stats I’d say Germany are a good bet to win it. They are 6.50 odds and I think that’s a good play.
Germany qualified in Group 5 with 7 wins out of 8 games, 38 goals scored and just 3 conceded. They were a beast in a group that actually boasts two fairly solid teams in Iceland and the Czech Republic. Their one loss was 3-2 at home to Iceland.
Germany have some incredible players such as Dzsensifer Marozsan who was an Olympic gold medal winner 3 years ago, and Lea Schuller who is only 21 but is a real good player.
China won all three of their games in the group stage of the Asian Cup however were surprisingly beat by Japan 3-1. Qualification has been generally easy for them.
Personally I feel Germany will sweep this group. I think we see a strong performance from here to kickstart it and they just go from strength to strength from here on out.

Spain vs South Africa Betting Tips:
Spain qualified with a perfect record. 8 games, 8 wins, 25 goals scored and just 2 conceded. It was very impressive as Austria and Finland are no pushovers. They are a determined bunch who don’t know the meaning of complacency.
South Africa qualified as runners up in the African Women Cup of Nations. They lost to Nigeria on penalties.
Spain have a good mix of veterans such as Vicky Losada and also youth such as Patri Guijarro. Fun fact – the South African captain Janine van Wyk has more caps than anyone else in South Africa – male OR female.
Spain should have no trouble with South Africa. The bookies are expecting a high scoring game from Spain but I’ve got a sneaky suspicision we’ll see a more tight one.

Norway vs Nigeria Betting Tips:
Another one where one team is unfortunately heavily favoured over their opponents. The majority of the early group stages games are like that but hopefully we see some upsets. Norway are 1.28 to win here.
Norway qualified in Group 3. One of the tougher groups with two good teams (Netherlands being the other) they scraped through by a baw hair thanks to Netherlands having a costly draw with the Republic of Ireland early in the campaign.
Nigeria qualified as the best team in Africa having won the Women Cup of Nations in 2018. They did lose to South Africa in the group stages there, and needed penalties in both the semi finals against Cameroon and the final against South Africa.
Norway is missing their star player Ada Hegerberg. Hegerberg is refusing to play in protest of the treatment of the women by the Norweigan soccer federation.
I think Nigeria will just bunker down here. I am wondering too about Hegerberg being missing and if that will affect things. A right gamble here but I’ll go with the under.
