The 2019 Women’s World Cup kicks off this Friday, June 7th.
I will be focusing on the Women’s World Cup for the next month and will be providing betting tips on a daily basis.
I’ll also be looking at what’s going on elsewhere so it may not be JUST Women’s World Cup tips I am providing. However, I strive to provide betting tips for it every single day.
I have a couple of reasons for that. One is the challenge. I always like to challenge myself when it comes to betting – especially in games where there is a heavy favourite and so the obvious play is ruled out.
it allows me to get into the nitty-gritty in regard to the statistics and I thoroughly enjoy doing that.
Another reason is simply to get me more interested in the Women’s World Cup. Women’s football is something that I haven’t paid too much attention to, unfortunately. I’ve tried to watch the Scotland games in the qualification but haven’t been too invested. I’d love to change that.
By betting every game, it means I go into it with a different perspective. I’ll theoretically be paying more attention and be more invested in it all.
I’m NOT going to be providing futures as I did for the World Cup last year. I did predictions and futures for each group as well as top team goalscorers. I’ll openly admit I don’t know enough about the teams or players or tactics to do that. It will be a learning experience as I go.
Where To Bet The Women’s World Cup:
In terms of trust factor, deposit options, and the betting options available I would recommend https://www.Bovada.lv.
With that, let’s look at the first game as France take on South Korea.
France vs South Korea Betting Tips:
France qualify as the host nation. They’ve played a host of friendlies leading up to the Women’s World Cup with a lot of impressive results. 3-1 over Japan and the United States for example. They looked fairly average in the SheBelieves Cup last year however go into this tournament as the favourites regardless.
South Korea qualified as 5th place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup. They beat the Philippines 5-0 in the battle of Fifth place. In the group stage, they did manage to remain unbeaten and impressively didn’t concede any goals with 1 win and 2 draws.
Defensively, South Korea are quite bloody solid. In the group stage prior to the final tournament, they played 4 games and conceded just 1 goal. Granted the opposition isn’t exactly the best but it’s still impressive.
Outside of that however, they have had some struggles losing to Sweden 1-0, Iceland 3-2 and Australia 4-1.
Looking at it all, I think this might be a low scoring game. The sportsbooks expect this to be high scoring with the over 2.5 goals at 1.50. However, you have to think that the hosts want to win but they want to be cautious. South Korea regardless of opposition does have a tight defence.
Having not really seen much of these teams however, we’re going to take it nice and wary to begin with in terms of unit sizing.
