In this post I go through top team goalscorer bets for Group C & D. Some of them are available here for free. All are available right now including all other group picks on our Patreon, where I will be posting betting tips for every World Cup game.
Group C:
Argentina: Mr Messi the big favourite. His final World Cup. Although interestingly we also have Martinez who is playing pretty damn well. Honestly I am fine backing Lautaro Martinez at 4.50 over Messi here. I don’t think Messi should be below coinflip odds.
Mexico: Raul Jimenez the favourite and he was top scorer in qualifying although just barely with 3 goals. He’s been struggling with fitness though. Alexis Vega is tempting as he has been taking penalties for them and also has the ability to score for them from outright play. However I am going with [Only available on Patreon].
Poland: Double on Lewandowski and Kane at 2.30. They do have other players who can score for sure but why overthink it.
Saudi Arabia: “No Goalscorer” is favourite for the poor Saudis. Although from what I have seen this seems to be their best team for many a year. We’ve seen them mix it up with some decent little tactics like the 4-1-3-2 and 4-3-3 which was quite attacking. The next favourite is al-Shehri and again some injury concerns to a degree. Although he did get the goal against North Macedonia. With them likely to only get a goal or two, I’m happy looking down the list at [Only available on Patreon].
Group D:
Australia: Feel like it’s going to be a tough tournament for Australia. Plus the poor bastards have Mooy in their squad. Not the stage for him. You gotta figure they can at least score against Tunisia right? Yeah I think you gotta just go with the favourite Jamie Maclaren at 7.00 here and hope for the best. Probably value on anyone here.
Denmark: How cool is it that Eriksen is playing? I love it man. However I am going to go with the outside pick of [Only available on Patreon].
France: The French midfield looks to be a bit of a concern here. It’s really between Mbappe and Benzema isn’t it? I gotta go with Mbappe at 2.25.
Tunisia: No goalscorer is favourite. But again Australia look a possibility to get a goal against and then you never know with the others. I’m fine backing Youssef Msakni at 8.00. Their captain and he missed the 2018 World Cup so he will be right pumped for this. I don’t hate a bet on Khazri but looking at the history of goals for both of them – I feel Msakni gets the better chances.
