NXT presents another of its infamous Takeover events. These big shows are like old WWE PPVs, take place every few months, and are always the 2nd best display of American wrestling you’ll ever see next to All Elite Wrestling.
This event is even more special because we get to see Pat Freaking McAfee in action. Yes he will be taking on former NXT World Champion Adam Cole.
That should be something. The entire card should be good honestly. So if you’re looking to watch quality wrestling action this Saturday night…..well, tune into TNT at 6pm Eastern time and watch AEW Dynamite. The odds have been interesting for this one seeing how they have changed. I do have quite a few bets for it though so let’s get into it as we look through every match:
Breezango to be pinned. 1u at +134 odds. This is for the NXT Tag Team Championship #1 contender spot. Honestly it just feels like Breezango are the expendable team here and we all know what that usually means – they will eat the pin and it keeps Lorcan/Burch or El Legado strong. If you want to know who wins? It’s a tough one as Legado I would think would win but with the face/heel dynamic you have to think Lorcan/Burch due to who the champs are.
1u on Under 3.5 Stars in Io Shirai vs Dakota Kai. This is for Dave Meltzers star ratings. It’s a risky one and you may not want to bet it as Shirai has a good ability to carry people above that mark. I actually bet it earlier on when it was 3.75 stars. Under 3.5 is a tricky one.
1u on Pat McAfee first near fall at +100. Interesting one as McAfee was like +500 last week and now he is just +140. I know Vin bet on him so he is loving it. I like the prop bet of McAfee getting the first near fall. He’ll “surprise” Cole with some wrasslin. It’s pretty standard.
1u on Keith Lee to win at +160 odds. I initially wasn’t going to touch this match but Keith Lee has moved to a big enough underdog that I do feel it is worth a play.
NXT are going balls to the wall on Kross. However the issue is that Lee JUST won this title and it seems crazy to strip him this early. I feel like this is a real coinflip and when Lee was -150 I was like no way but now he is +160 he is worth a play.
1u on Priest to win the ladder match at +110. It’s him or Cameron Grimes surely. I’ll go with Preiest.
