Each Group in the World Cup seems to have a story – but no group is more enthralling than Group E when it comes to the story.
The story is of course France. They were a complete disaster in the 2010 World Cup – and quite weak in Euro 2012, only barely qualifying to the knockout stages where they collapsed easily against Spain. They then lost 2-0 to Ukraine in the playoff to get here, before a massive 3-0 win to sneak in the backdoor.
Let’s not forget the other teams. Switzerland got here on their own merit by winning Group E against some average teams. It still wasn’t easy for them, but impressive that they did it. Ecuador came 4th to qualify in the Conmebol and had a lot of nice results including draws against Argentina.
The final team to make up Group E in the World Cup is Honduras, who have yet to win a match in the World Cup, and scraped through via the CONCACAF where let’s be honest – it’s hard NOT to qualify from there.
Quick Summary: I’m going to put faith in France to do the business in a professional fashion in this group. They’re 4/6 to win the group and that’s what I am going with. I’ll also be taking Switzerland to qualify at 4/6 odds. You can bet these where you can also do a forecast of France 1st, Switzerland 2nd for better odds.
Let’s see the Group E World Cup 2014 Betting Odds:
World Cup 2014 Group E Betting Odds:

World Cup 2014 Group E Betting Tips:
I’m very confident in France. They look like a team whose problems are behind them. There is so much freaking talent in that squad and Paul Pogba is just unbelievable really.
With players like Ribery and Pogba in the squad – that’s all you need to win this group. The fact that they’ve got 9 other talented players amongst them will only help their cause.
France to win the group, ’nuff said.
Now who will qualify? That’s where I like Switzerland to do it. I just don’t rate Honduras at all. I think Ecuador are a solid team – but I just like the Swiss to pip it. I watched every one of their qualifiers and I was really impressed – they just play so well as a team, and they are so solid on defense.
I’d go with Switzerland, and to increase the odds go with a France-Switzerland 1st-2nd forecast at the link below:
